Jameson’s distiller agreed to lend the brewery some of his whiskey barrels to see how the whiskey notes might affect their stout beer. Once the beer-soaked barrels returned to Jameson, they were used again to age whiskey. The stout-seasoned casks gave the beloved Jameson whiskey notes of cocoa, coffee, and butterscotch.
